We are looking for a Reward Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in Reward already, or someone who has some background in HR, Payroll or HRIS who would like to progress their career and move into Reward.
This role will support the Reward function by providing guidance on the subject pay, rewards, pensions and role profiling. You will also administer all current benefits offered by ECC working with our partners on joint ventures and help promote these within the council to all eligible employees. In addition, you will support the People Business Partners and People Consultants in best practice of Reward in order to maintain standards.
This role requires an analytical and pragmatic thinker working collaboratively, flexibly and effectively communicating with people across the HR function and wider council. You will need an advanced level of knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, be comfortable with pulling information together from several sources, and identifying anomalies, patterns and proposing an outcome. You should have a "can do attitude" bringing ideas and solutions based on your previous experience as well as confident in sharing the reward principles to all employees across the Council. As part of employment with Essex County Council (ECC) should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate. This is an annual subscription and you will be responsible for ensuring this is maintained.
Essex County Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.
We seek the best talent from the widest pool of people as diversity is key to our success.
