Are you an experienced case manager or young people’s practitioner looking to make a real difference to the lives of young people in Camden by working alongside a highly skilled team of professionals?

Youth Early Help is part of the Integrated Youth Support Service which respond to emerging needs for young people at the earliest opportunity. As a Youth Early Help Case Manager, you will manage a caseload of pre-court, prevention, Triage and Early help family cases. Working with young people and their families from diverse backgrounds you will assess, develop and deliver activities and interventions that will support  young people and their families to become resilience and improve outcomes

Camden has cultivated a ‘whole family approach’ model, offering tailor made support for young people to stay safe; be healthy; succeed in education, employment and training; and to play a positive role in their community.

The successful candidates will work within a multi-disciplinary team and our partners to deliver high quality evidence based support/practice for young people and their families.

All staff across the Early Intervention and Prevention section are expected to adopt Camden’s Resilient Families approach and hold family cases supported by the team around the family approach. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

We are looking for an inspiring and insightful practitioner with demonstrable experience of direct work with young people including the delivery of face-to-face work, ability to identify the needs of young people and design interventions, projects and activities appropriately.

You will possess a professional qualification in any of the following: Social work (HCPC registered), Professional Certificate of Effective Practice or significant experience in working with young people, Probation, Degree in Youth and Community work, Level 4 or above IAG, careers guidance, Psychology/Counselling, Substance Misuse.

You will have proven experience of working with young people who are considered at risk of engaging in harmful behaviour, not achieving in school, have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, at risk of being exploited etc., by setting and maintaining clear boundaries, building relationships and positively influencing change.

You will have experience of undertaking family assessments, planning and delivering intervention/programmes for young people and families in order to meet specific needs.

You will have experience of working closely with a wide range of professionals including Health, Police, Education, Crime Reduction, Youth Justice and children’s safeguarding colleagues.

You will be self-motivated, strong in communication, able to apply negotiation and influencing skills and ability to develop successful partnerships with agencies, developing and delivering joint work to a high quality standard.
