Job 1: Adult Social Care - temporary (up to 2 years to cover a project)

We are looking to fill a new and exciting role in the Intelligence and Performance Service in Kirklees Council.  You will be responsible for handling, analysing and interpreting large and complex datasets within the Adult Services Intelligence function to support intelligence-led decision making within Adult Social Care services and functions. You will also be a data translator and be confident in communicating with both internal and external customers.  You will work closely with other services and external partners to transform data into intelligence and insights to help solve problems, understand what difference we are making to adults and older people and help our organisation to become more efficient and effective. 

There will be opportunities for you to explore a wide range of datasets and develop and utilise data visualisation.  You will have the autonomy to explore new ways of doing things more efficiently and design intelligence products that are fit for purpose to inform decision making and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Job 2: Corporate Services - permanent

We are looking to fill a new and exciting role in the Intelligence & Performance Service in Kirklees Council.  You will be responsible for handling & interrogating large and complex datasets that are held within our corporate services such as HR, Procurement & Finance as well as data relating to council-wide activity such as access, contacts and open data. You will also be a data translator & be confident in communicating with both internal & external customers.  You will work closely with other services and external partners to transform data into intelligence and insights to help solve problems, understand what difference we are making to our customers and help our organisation to become more efficient and effective. 

We will give you the freedom to explore datasets, liaise with customers and develop visualisation techniques in the organisation.  There will be opportunities for you to delve into our corporate systems, extract datasets, follow your own key lines of enquiry, explore new technology & develop new ways of doing things more efficiently.  You will have the autonomy to design intelligence products that are fit for purpose and inform decision making in order to support a culture of continuous improvement.  We will offer you the chance to work across all our teams in the service so you gain a broad knowledge into intelligence work for different parts of the organisation.

Our Intelligence and Performance Service is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of research, consultation, intelligence, performance and data analytics professionals who support and promote intelligence and insight informed decisions across the Council and partners.
