This is an exciting time to join us as we seek to appoint a Head of Finance (Section 151 Officer).  You will play a vital role in our journey to make our ambitions a reality and lead the finance team to deliver the Council’s Financial Strategy.  With exceptional standards of professional practice you will work creatively with the Senior Management Team and Councillors to deliver the Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or hold a relevant professional finance qualification and a member of CCAB.  You will have significant experience of providing advice to key decision makers to ensure compliance will all financial, statutory and constitutional requirements.  You will be able to demonstrate a track record of extensive financial leadership experience, commercial acumen and experience of financial governance of commercial developments within a public sector would be an advantage.
