Competitive Salary

In Surrey, we are embarking on a new and exciting way of working, creating a genuine partnership that will make a positive difference to local people and help join up health and social care. The Surrey Heartlands ICS is seen as one of the most innovative and high-profile partnerships between health and social care in the country. We are incredibly ambitious about improving the health and wellbeing of our residents and building prevention and early intervention programmes to stop needs escalating. Reporting to our Executive Director of Health, Wellbeing & Adult Social Care, these two roles will be key to making it happen.

Both roles are fundamental to our health devolution approach. As Area Director, you will be responsible for one of the Integrated Care Partnership. With significant autonomy and delegated authority, you will develop the new models of care and ways of working that will improve patient and service users experience.

Area teams have responsibility for services for older people, people with disabilities and the mental health staff returning to the authority from the Mental Health Trust. Our strength-based approach is already having positive impacts on the way we work with people, with improvements in quality, experience and efficiency.

A social work qualification is desirable, but senior operational experience, a strategic outlook and excellent partnering skills are essential.

Closing Date: 24 November 2019.
