An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the school assessment SEND 0-13 team. We'll look to you to analyse and synthesise a number of complex reports to produce EHC Plans within statutory timescales and provide an excellent EHC statutory service to schools and parents.
The role involves managing a caseload of children with Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans including writing high quality, evidence based, outcome focused statutory compliant plans that are co-produced with parents. As the key officer managing the statutory process you will be actively participating co-production meetings with parents and professionals at planning and annual review meetings. As there are specific statutory requirements relating to timescales and the content of plans you will need to be well-organised, able to work independently and have a clear understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEN Code of Practice 2015
If successful, you will also be required to apply for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. The London Borough of Redbridge is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults across the Borough. As such the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act relating to the non-disclosure of spent convictions do not apply to this job.
