Do you have a commitment to working with young people with SEND?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the SEND Preparing for Adulthood Statutory assessment team. Planning for a successful transition to adulthood will require you to work with a range of education and training providers, negotiating bespoke arrangements and support for young people and adults up to 25 who have an EHCP plan. We'll look to you to analyse and synthesise a number of complex reports to produce EHC Plans within statutory timescales and provide an excellent EHC statutory service to young people, schools, colleges and parents.

As the key officer managing the statutory process you will be actively engaging  with young people in school and colleges, as well as with parents/carers and professionals at planning and annual review meetings.  The role involves managing a caseload of young people with Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans including writing high quality, evidence based, outcome focused statutory compliant plans and High Needs funding forms.

You will need to be well-organised, able to work independently and have excellent interpersonal skills.
