This position is a Fixed Term Contract until September 2020 with potential to extend for a further 3 months.

Sandwell Health and Wellbeing Board is a statutory Board that brings partners together to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Wellbeing Board Project Officer to join our Adult Social Care Health and Wellbeing Directorate on a fixed term contract until the 30th September 2020 with a potential to extend for a further 3 months.

The post holder will play a key role in co-ordinating support for the Health and Wellbeing Board, stakeholder engagement, agenda planning and will also be responsible for supporting complex and at times, challenging relationships with all stakeholders across the local authority, the NHS, voluntary or third sector agencies and other organisations. The role will also involve assisting in the development of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Sandwell and ensuring that it is delivered with partner agencies. 

Essential criteria for this role includes experience of supporting Board management and development, partnership working, experience of working in a political and partnership context; flexible working is also required occasionally outside of normal working hours.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, significant project management skills and the ability to communicate with a range of people in a different ways.
