Essex County Council (ECC) is one of the largest and most dynamic local authorities in the UK. Its corporate Communications & Marketing team has recently gone through an exciting restructure, taking on a consultancy-based approach alongside its responsibility to deliver prioritised activities.

We are looking for an experienced marketing communications professional to join our award-winning Campaigns team, who can demonstrate use of insight and analytics and is keen to play a part in developing ground-breaking strategic campaigns for Essex County Council.

The Campaign Advisor will be involved in managing multiple corporate campaigns with differing objectives - from resident information and engagement, to changing behaviors, reputation management and business growth. The role will support the Senior Campaign Advisors to implement the campaign strategy and requires an understanding of the environment facing a public sector organisation.

The role requires a strong communicator, able to work with internal and external stakeholders to engage and inspire residents, as well as provide mentoring and training across functions. Adaptable and adept at working in a fast-moving environment, the role requires understanding of the importance of insight at every stage of planning, creation, amplification, engagement and evaluation when determining how best to meet customer needs.
Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience, you will also have strong project management skills and process, with experience of multidisciplinary and cross-functional working.

You will have demonstrable experience of campaigns marketing, ideally in a public sector environment, with proven experience in a Communications and Marketing advisory/consultancy role, and an understanding of the agile way of working.

Experience of working in a political environment, with skills in understanding and responding to different perspectives and taking a cross organizational perspective is desirable.

Qualification certificates should be brought to interview.
