Would you like to support the educational opportunities for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Bexley?

We need to appoint SEND Case Officers who are be able to support families and schools in making the right decisions for the children in their care.

You will be required to administrate the Statutory Assessment and Review process and to meet with schools and families to discuss the best way forward in meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND.

You will be integral to co-ordinating the production, issue and review of Education, Health and Care Plans.

You will need to be a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent qualification at degree level and have experience of working in or with schools in a professional capacity.  Some experience or working directly within the area of Special Educational Needs is desirable for this post.

Please note that this role does not involve direct one to one work with children and young people and is not based in a school setting. The post holder is a representative of the Local Authority, within Children’s Education Services.

Please note the assessment process will include a practical and report analysis test as well as an interview. Candidates should allow 2 hours for attendance, during working hours.

The Statutory Assessment and Review Service is part of the Local Authorities Children’s Services and Education Directorate, located at the Civic Offices in Bexley.
