Leadership for the future

Northamptonshire County Council has been restructured and reinvigorated to bring financial stability, together with improved performance and outcomes for its communities across the county. This new Executive Director role will play a key role whilst it prepares for two new unitary councils in 2021 – West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire respectively.

It is envisaged that this role will be transferred to one of the new unitary authorities once the structures and directorates have been agreed.

There is a strong element of future thinking here as both new councils will need effective leadership in this critical area.

Taking Northamptonshire into two new unitary authorities offers significant involvement to strategically and operationally develop a range of services and service provision with the unique opportunity to be in at the very start.

As the Executive Director - Economic Growth and Asset Management you will be focused on the partnerships outside to make growth and opportunities a reality through the LEPs and all involved in the Economic Heartland - also to make best use of assets through One Public Estate.
