Salary
Up to £95,000
Closing date

This is a great opportunity to join a respected, innovative and diverse London borough.

You’ll join a high performing authority, which is delivering on its innovative and creative Future Ealing transformation programme. Future Ealing is focused on improving outcomes for residents at a time of reduced government funding and increasing demand. The council is working together, across departments and with our local partners and residents, to make Ealing a better place to live and work. At the same time, we are focusing on prevention, efficiency and improving the way we deliver services to reduce our budget gap and ensure our services are sustainable and of good quality. Our programme is already delivering, but as government funding continues to shrink, there is still a lot of work to do.

Working closely with the Director for Children and Families and the Executive Director for Children, Adults and Public Health, you will be a powerful and persuasive advocate of Ealing’s commitment to our most vulnerable children and young people.

We are very proud of our strong relationships with partners, the effectiveness of working between members and officers and our proven success in delivering new ways of working. We are now looking for an Assistant Director with a track record of achievement in children’s safeguarding to ensure our services develop and improve. You will play a critical role in regaining our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and ensure that our services for children and young people are as good as they can be.

For more details click on ‘Apply’ or contact Penny Ransley (020 7426 3962) or Gillian Young (01908 230 265).

Closing date: 13th February 2020.
