We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and personable individual who will enjoy working as an integral part of a small tree team with the Council’s Tree & Nature Conservation manager, to assist in the delivery the Council’s Tree services and responsibilities by:

  • Delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Undertaking service responsibilities in the Borough’s parks, open spaces, woodlands, the public highways and on external client sites, and ensuring accessible tree records are maintained by accurately and routinely recording all necessary data.
  • To assist in the reviewing of the Council’s policies and practices covering the Council’s tree related responsibilities.
  • Seeking and exploring opportunities to increase both the size and the health of the Borough’s urban forest.

 

To participate in a rostered out-of-hours working, to ensure there is a staff deployment to deal with emergency situations and inspections of scheduled works being performed at the weekends. Where practically possible to assist legitimate requests from park users and residents -a maximum of one weekend in three, for which over time will be paid.
