If we receive a high volume of applicants we may need to close applications early.
The working hours for this role are Monday – Thursday, 9:00am till 3:30pm.
At Kirklees Council we strive for innovative and creative approaches to the delivery of services to our communities. Kirklees Council’s Road Safety Team is looking for a positive and friendly Road Safety Trainer who brings a flexible attitude and personal initiative to the job. Working predominantly in a school setting, our Road Safety Trainers deliver education, practical training and publicity designed to improve road safety in Kirklees.
You will have experience working with children and young people, knowledge of road safety, the ability to use Microsoft Office PowerPoint and great presentation skills to help create a safer community for the people of Kirklees.
This role requires you to work independently and as part of a small team, so you will need to have excellent time-management and communication skills. You will also need to carry out risk assessments.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for this job. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
You will be required to travel between different sites, therefore it would be extremely difficult for you to do your job effectively if you did not use a car for all or most of the time. It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence.
At Kirklees Council, we want to support your professional development to give you the right skills, confidence and support to really achieve your potential. We offer a variety of courses and training designed for this exact purpose.
If you are interested in what we are offering, and have the skills we are looking for, have a look at the attached job profile for more information. To apply please go to: Total Jobs and upload your CV.
