Are you an experienced Team Manager looking to make a real difference to the lives of young people and young adults in Camden by working alongside a highly skilled team of professionals?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Manager to provide operational leadership for the Youth Violence and Exploitation team to deliver high quality targeted interventions to young people aged 16-24 who are entrenched in, or are at risk of becoming involved in gangs and youth violence. The main objective for the post holder is to take responsibility for ensuring services are delivered in line with local and national standards, ensuring safe, effective and consistent delivery across the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and contributing to accurate assessments using a range of assessment tools with regards to ensuring that appropriate planning and adequate support, assistance and provisions are put in place for each young person/adult.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity it is essential the successful candidate is educated to degree level and holds a qualification in either Youth and Community work, Youth Justice/Probation, Connexions and Career, Psychology, Counselling, Substance misuse or are a HCPC Registered Social Worker. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of legislative framework and polices relating to young people’ services, including safeguarding and child protection, health and safety at work etc. You will have an excellent working knowledge of current policy and practice relating to vulnerable young people and young adults with specific reference to youth offending, gangs, Priority and Prolific Offenders, Contextual Safeguarding Issues and substance misuse. Additionally you will have a good knowledge of the risk factors for young people / young adults associated to negative outcomes together with an awareness of the challenges linked to transition arrangements in relation to youth violence and offending. The successful candidate will possess a good knowledge of gang and offender management interventions from a range of statutory and community settings that reduce risk and offending.
