The Post
Brent Start is excited to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Programme Leader to lead the Mathematics department. This will include planning new curriculum, timetabling courses, staff and resource management, curriculum management, initial assessment and delivery of outstanding learner outcomes. You will have previous management experience of managing staff and will be an excellent team player who not only can work independently, but also work as part of a team.
Brent Start provision is delivered primarily in Brent Start’s key sites in Stonebridge, Harlesden Library, and Willesden Green Library, with key emphasis on developing provision in community settings.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced or aspiring adult education manager.
The Person
We are seeking a highly effective manager and leader for mathematics courses with understanding and demonstrable experience of developing and delivering innovative curriculum for local communities and employers with excellent outcomes for learners as well as building strong partnerships.
This includes developing and improving the curriculum offer for Community Learning, responding to learner and employer needs, whilst ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and safeguarding.
The role requires an adult teaching/training qualification at level 5 e.g. DTTLS/PGCE or equivalent with a mathematics specialism or have a Mathematics qualification at level 4 or higher.
