About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to assist in maintaining the Council's Property Portfolio.

You will be working closely with all members of the Facilities Management Team and reporting to the Property Maintenance Manager.

The post holder will lead the co-ordination of efforts to ensure, record and monitor statutory and regulatory compliance across the Council's property portfolio.

This post requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with considerable experience and a firm commitment to maintaining high standards for safe and efficient systems throughout the Council's estate.

You will be responsible for ensuring the Council's legislative and Health & Safety requirements are met, ensuring that the Council's inspection regime remains up to date and fully documented ensuring that buildings remain fit for purpose and providing technical advice on all compliance matters. 

We are looking for someone with:

  • Good quality degree or equivalent in relevant subject
  • Membership of relevant professional body in a relevant area
  • Detailed practical knowledge of facilities management and statutory requirements.
  • Computer literate, preferably with some experience of planned maintenance systems;
  • Experience of working with external contractors/suppliers.
