The Economic Development Officer will work with colleagues within the Business Focus team in the planning and building of relationships with businesses in North West Leicestershire and those that plan to move into the district and lead on and coordinate activities of support for local business as part of the economic recovery from COVID-19 and the United Kingdom’s transition out of the European Union. The post will also contribute to applications for funding, development and delivery of strategies and support programmes that will address local enterprise development, jobs, skills and support our ambitions for economic growth.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and self-motivated, delivery-focused team player who can offer some or all of the following: knowledge and use of socio and economic statistics; knowledge of the local economy and its drivers; experience of dealing with businesses and other stakeholders; an understanding of the business support landscape; experience of inward investment approaches.
