Economic Development Officer (Town Centres)

Temporary contract - initially for 2 years.

Band F, £29,636 - £32,878 per annum

Are you interested in a challenge and want to help shape the future of Coalville and the wider North West Leicestershire district? We are looking for a self-motivated team player with experience of town centre regeneration and building and maintaining relationships with businesses and other stakeholders.

The Economic Development Officer (Town Centres) post forms part of the Council’s Business Focus team who provide help directly to businesses, delivers the Council’s contribution to the North West Leicestershire Economic Growth Plan and provides support to a programme of work targeting the regeneration of Coalville.

As one of two Economic Development Officers (Town Centres), you will develop and lead elements of the Business Focus team’s proactive approach to supporting the district’s urban centres of Ashby, Castle Donington, Coalville, Ibstock, Kegworth and Measham to thrive and grow.

You will lead on identifying and delivering strategies and projects to increase retail occupancy, footfall and spend in the town centres with a particular emphasis on physical regeneration. You will also contribute to delivering the Council's exciting shop fronts grants programme.
