The Role

  • Are you looking to join an innovative, dynamic and forward-thinking team?
  • Do you enjoy supporting and delivering cultural activities and festivals?
  • Are you passionate about designing marketing and communication materials?

If you answered yes, we want to hear from you.

Who we are:

We make arts in Richmond accessible, and empower people to be creative. They see, share and make as part of their everyday lives.

What they produce is relevant for Richmond and West London and contributes something new to London and UK culture. We aim to connect people through culture, and across barriers.

We are working to increase the impact of our services and build a more diverse audience. The experiences we create range from personal to collaborative, with moments of ‘reflection’ ‘discovery’ and ‘surprise’.

Based at Orleans House Gallery on Twickenham Riverside, the team is responsible for a range of creative programmes that have the public at the heart of the activity.

You will:

  • Support the development of our public facing programmes, through direct project delivery and by commissioning, contracting and partnering with other organisations.
  • Support and deliver a range of cultural activities. These include Richmond Literature Festival, RichDance, and Art House open studios, and also the development of new programmes that include different art forms and new technologies.
  • Manage budgets and financial targets including managing additional revenue funds for programmes.
  • Design and provide marketing and communication materials to ensure services are communicated well to the relevant audiences and influencers.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and policies which increase the effectiveness of our services.

About you:

  • You will have experience of developing and delivering public facing creative participation programmes.
  • You will be experienced in artist recruitment and commissioning, managing live events and coordinating projects with multiple partners and diverse audiences.
  • You can forward plan and manage risk.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of individuals.
  • You can work independently using your initiative and as an effective team member.
  • You are happy to adapt to changing priorities, contexts and deadlines.

We are advertising several new posts within a newly designed structure.

We are recruiting for two new Arts Officer post holders, who will sit alongside a further two Arts Officers who have expertise in Learning & Engagement and Exhibitions & Collections.

Benefits:

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance, including a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributary pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops, and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities are also offered.
