We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and inspirational leader as our new Head of Highways, Transport and Recycling here in Powys. As the new Head of Service, it is a unique and exciting time to join Powys with a new Senior Leadership Team with whom you will help deliver the Cabinets Vision 2025 set out in the Council’s Corporate Improvement Plan.
You will lead the delivery of the Highways, Transport, and Recycling Services and utilise collaborative and regional approaches to ensure these services are focussed upon operationally delivery and providing value for money.
You will work closely with partner organisations and multi-agency teams both here in Powys, and with neighbouring counties.
As Head of Highways, Transport and Recycling, you will champion a positive performance culture and positive behaviours that live up to the values of the council. You will need to deliver excellence in practice and be adept at identifying innovative ways of delivering services in both urban and rural communities.
