Grounds Maintenance Senior Operative

37 hours per week

Band C, £19,554 - £21,116 per annum plus 0.75 hours per week plain time overtime

Working from our Green Flag Park in Coalville, Leicestershire you will join the team as a Senior Operative within the council’s Grounds Maintenance Team. You will be part of a team working all over the North West Leicestershire District.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of supervising a small team and of using a wide range of horticultural machinery and equipment. A knowledge of or experience in a range of Grounds Maintenance operations, such as sports turf maintenance and hard and soft landscaping, would be advantageous, but training can be given to increase your skill levels if needed.

You must work well within a team, be reliable and flexible, when needed, and have good communication skills in dealing with customers and other staff.

You enjoy excellent terms and conditions with good career prospects and have the opportunity to join the local government pension scheme.
Voluntary overtime is also available.
