Join Camden’s new estates management service

We are looking for talented people to join our new estates management service which launches in 2020. A local team to support residents and keep their homes clean and safe, this new service will play an important part in our communities and has been shaped by the people who call our council houses home.

Estates management is hugely important to the council and residents. The newly launched service will include highly trained caretakers who will be focused on providing a more local service and keeping our residents safe.

The role

Camden’s Estate Management Service is changing the way in which it delivers caretaking services, on its housing estates. Alongside their fixed caretaking colleagues, our new Safer Housing Caretakers, will play a key part providing a flexible caretaking role; responding to the day to day challenges as they arise: keeping our estates clean and safe. We are looking for practical and flexible individuals who enjoy working out of doors and meeting our residents- people from all walks of life who live on our estates and deserve a clean and safe place to live. Duties will include checking fire precautions in buildings, keeping corridors and fire escapes clear, sweeping, cleaning, removing graffiti, undertaking special assignments and project work; making a difference on our estates and helping to make them a great and safe place to live.

This is a reactive role making sure that caretaking requests wherever they arise on our estates are dealt with quickly. No day will be the same and you will enjoy travelling around all of our estates: working under your own steam or with colleagues in small teams. Always courteous, and ready to go the extra mile, you will be proactive and enthusiastic in your approach and keen to get what needs to be done- completed quickly. Highly visible; you will be approachable and patient as you value listening to our residents and making sure they are always satisfied with the quality of the Council’s new caretaking service. If you are enthusiastic about customer service and making a difference please do apply for this new team and join our caretaking service.

If you feel that you have the skills and experience for this role we’d love to hear from you!

When completing your application, please tell us about your specific skills, knowledge and experience, demonstrating how you meet the requirements of the role.
