An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate as the Senior Home Improvement Officer within the Royal Greenwich Disability & Home Improvement Team. This is a key role within the service, with responsibility for the management of a group of staff ensuring efficient delivery of advice and casework. The postholder will also lead the team in the administration of all private sector grants and loans to homeowners, Registered Social Landlords & private sector landlords, in addition to adaptations to public sector property.

This rewarding job will suit applicants who have a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable people and an understanding of housing problems faced by older people and those with disabilities.

We are looking for someone who is conscientious, adaptable and keen to join an innovative team to make a positive difference and drive the service forward whilst also making a difference in the lives of those vulnerable residents who need help, support and assistance.

We would expect that you will be able to achieve the standards as set out within our staff values. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage effectively and will be able to carry out the full range of managerial duties including planning, allocating and monitoring of workloads, The postholder will be an  excellent communicator and have experience of relevant legislation.
