This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to create and deliver a vision for Hylands House to ensure it can reach it’s full potential. The House is an impressive Grade II listed building set in 600 acres of the Hylands Estate and it has also become a leading wedding and conferencing venue.

The immediate challenge will require your leadership to ensure this important venue is back operating and serving our wide range of customers through the current pandemic. Your challenge is then to manage this fantastic visitor attraction, which also includes an adjacent Stables Visitor Centre and Grand Pavilion – you will also have responsibility for an exciting range of events across the Hylands Estate. The history and heritage of this site is of the utmost importance to the Council and will be maintained for its residents to enjoy, but seeking out new commercial opportunities will ensure there is a sustainable future for Hylands House, and this will be your priority.

You will be commercially focused and will ideally have a proven track record in hospitality, events or leisure. You will have the ability to think strategically and capitalise on opportunities to take the service forward. You will be results focused with exceptional communication, organisational and leadership skills and be capable of developing high performing teams to ensure the highest standards of customer service are achieved.
