Housing Inclusion Team Leader – PO3

The Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Housing Inclusion & Support Service is on a mission to become one of the top service providers in housing support and homelessness prevention. As part of this continuous improvement journey, we want to ensure that the customer experience, in addition to the access and delivery of advice, information and assessments are exemplary.

We are seeking motivated people, who like a challenge, have a commitment to housing and want to help us deliver excellent services.

An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate as a Team Leader with excellent and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the duties, required by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

In this role you will lead, supervise and support a team of Housing Inclusion Officers to carry out holistic assessments of need, as well as homelessness assessments within statutory time frames. You will carry out comprehensive assessments, whilst also identifying needs and risks. In addition, you will lead the provision of support services, including to people with multiple needs and people with challenging behaviour.

We are looking to recruit a strong, versatile leader, that has excellent negotiation and customer care skills. The postholder will also have proven ability to ensure that service targets are met.

We are looking for someone who is conscientious, adaptable and keen to join an innovative team to make a positive difference and drive the service forward whilst also making a difference in the lives of those vulnerable residents who need help, support and assistance.

We would expect that you will be able to achieve the standards as set out within our staff values.

The successful candidate will have management experience, be an excellent communicator, have a good knowledge of problems and solutions related to customers experiencing homelessness.
