The Council is currently in the process of embarking on a major two stage programme to upgrade and replace the Case Management system used across both Adults and Children’s Social Care. The system is vital in supporting residents who receive care by ensuring that that a variety of professionals have access to accurate and effective records for that individual. It also allows us to analyse data about the levels and types of need across the borough.

Over the coming months as the programme develops we will be recruiting to a number of exciting opportunities across a wide variety of areas within the programme including:

  • Solution Design (Business Analysis)
  • Project Management
  • Solution Development
  • Testing
  • Training
  • Business Change & Communication
  • Integration & Interfaces

This role is a programme support officer which will assist the delivery of vital monitoring, control and governance work to ensure that the programme delivers effectively, on time and on budget. The role will sit within the core Project Management Office which have the main responsibility for driving the programme’s different work strands.

This will be an ideal opportunity for someone looking for an initial exposure to a programme and project environment as you will get the chance to work on project and programme planning, risk and issue management and communication and stakeholder engagement, all of which are key skills for all projects and programmes. As a result you will get the opportunity to undertake Prince2 Project Management Training at a minimum of foundation level within the first 6 months of starting the role (subject to business and project needs).
