The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster City Council serve diverse communities of residents as well as an extremely large business sector. Both Councils want to foster inclusiveness and create opportunity for all. Both Councils also put residents at the heart of everything they do. They are looking for an exceptional CIO to join them. This person must share their values and bring an inclusive leadership mindset and new ideas to help them solve challenges that their residents currently face.

The CIO will be responsible for leading the joint digital and information technology functions across the two authorities, as well as for delivering the digital strategy and those initiatives that generate best business impact and improve service delivery across the two boroughs.

You will need to reimagine, and promote the vision for digital and information technology to support transformation in the Councils; to design a tech-forward business strategy that will allow them to apply digital solutions to solve some of the big problems residents face.

You will need to be outcome focused and build positive relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders in both Councils, with external partners & businesses and with other local authorities.

You will make a major contribution to the development and delivery of each Council’s vision and their agenda for transformation, and inspire creativity and flexibility in the management and application of ICT.

This is an opportunity for an exceptional leader to join two ambitious Councils and an outstanding team. Are you up for the challenge?
