An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Casual Practice Manager, based at the Redbridge Control Centre, Ilford. 

The 4 Borough Emergency Duty Team operates from 16:30pm – 9.30am each night and all day on Saturday and Sunday and bank holidays (9am – 17:00pm).

The team is responsible for responding to emergency social work concerns regarding children and cover the London Boroughs of Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Havering and Barking & Dagenham.

You will cover the on-call back up manager rota while permanent managers are on annual leave. Your duties will include escalating issues to senior management, authorising placements, accommodation. You will be responsible to provide case direction to senior practitioners on shift.

You should have 3-5 years’ experience at a management level. You will have a detailed understanding of the Children Act, relevant legislation, policies and procedures, as well as experience in using one or more of the following databases: Mosaic and LiquidLogic. You will be Social Work England registered and have a recognised social work qualification.
