Contract Manager - Mechanical

The Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise & Skills is responsible for leading on many high profile projects and we are seeking to fill a key post within the Property Maintenance team.

This role forms part of the Property Maintenance team who manage 350 commercial buildings across the whole borough and is specifically responsible for the Mechanical element of our Term contract.

We are looking for someone with an excellent track record as well as a desire to deliver high quality work across a truly unique and exciting London borough. 

The role will:

  • As part of a 2 man Team, manage our Mechanical Term contractor including
    • Checking of work completed
    • Raising orders and disputes
    • Attending Monthly Meetings
    • Agreeing KPI deductions
    • Approving invoices for payment

Assist in the design and work brief for fabric work

  • Produce estimates and carry out measurements for costing purposes.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • Experienced in Building mechanical Maintenance at a supervisory or management level.  This should include the following:
    • Commercial Gas Heating Systems
    • Air Conditioning
    • Air Handling Plant
    • Building Management Systems
    • Rain Water Harvesting Systems
  • A working knowledge of building mechanical maintenance related Health & Safety, technical and legislative requirements and the skills to manage this effectively to ensure compliance
  • Knowledge of building maintenance techniques in relation to commercial premises.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to write and present clear technical reports to technical and non-technical persons.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use relevant computer based applications (e.g. Microsoft office package).
  • Carry out site inspection preparatory to payment / approval of contractors’ work.
  • Produce estimates and carry out measurements for costing purposes.
