Volunteer Centre Coordinator
York CVS is excited to announce the introduction of a new Volunteer Centre which will be hosted by York CVS and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
We are currently looking for two Volunteer Centre Coordinators to develop a brokerage service across the Voluntary and Community Sector in York, to promote volunteering and to share best practice amongst Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations. This is never more needed following the COVID19 Pandemic.
The successful applicants will have at least two years’ experience in the Voluntary and Community Sector either as a volunteer or as a paid member of staff.
This post is fixed term for 6 months
Based at York CVS, 15 Priory Street, York, YO1 6ET
Key knowledge required:
- A good understanding of the role of a volunteer, issues volunteers face, relevant legislation around volunteering and best practice in volunteering.
- Excellent IT skills are essential as part of the role will involve developing and maintaining the database to support the new Volunteers Centre.
- The successful candidates will be flexible, enthusiastic and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
