This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Intelligence Team in Adult Social Care and Health. We are looking to recruit a forward thinking and flexible individual to be part of a team providing activity and financial data insight across the Adults and Health Directorate.
You will be responsible for the monitoring and validation of activity and financial information in relation to social care budgets. This will involve interrogating various systems, validating information and using a variety of techniques and in-depth knowledge of the social care business to analyse and present complex financial and activity data to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include the provision of expert financial support and advice to colleagues within Adults and Health and contributing to the development of financial reporting tools, systems and processes. You should be able to assimilate and impart specialist knowledge and expertise, whilst contributing to a high performance culture that drives continual improvement. You will be expected to contribute to project work on improvement initiatives across Adults and Health with a particular focus on the provision of financial information
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, be highly numerate and have strong analytical skills with extensive experience of data analysis and presentation. They should be highly computer literate with Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of business objects, dashboards and case management systems typically used in a local authority setting would be an advantage as would be experience of working in a local authority setting or in an equivalent organisation.
You will be expected to adapt to working in a changing environment with a focus on driving continuous improvement and development of processes and systems to benefit Customers
