At this exciting time we are looking for a broker to join our brokerage service which sits within our Quality & Market Improvement Team.

Part of our Health and Adult Services Directorate, the team are responsible for ensuring that contracting and monitoring activity is undertaken in line with Council procedures and legislative requirements. The team works closely with the Procurement and Contract Management Service and Health & Adult Services Commissioning Team, to ensure seamless processes for contracting, procurement and quality assurance are in place and are effective.

You would be joining us at a pivotal time for both North Yorkshire and the County Council's development as we take forward our 2020 plans and work with partners to develop a distinctive public health and adult social care agenda.  This aims to support more people to live longer, healthier and independent lives.

Our brokerage service is responsible for sourcing care packages/placements to meet assessed health and social care needs for adults across North Yorkshire. As a broker you will play an integral role in developing and maintaining information on local care providers and sourcing care packages which will include completing contracts and associated financial and administrative tasks.

The ability to work with spreadsheets and client databases and to assimilate figures and information quickly will be fundamental. As a team we are committed to delivering an excellent standard of customer service to both internal and external customers and you will play a key part in ensuring this is maintained.

The role is office based and will cover the Hambleton, Richmond and Selby areas with a requirement to travel depending on the needs of the service. We have office bases available across the county, allowing for some flexibility in terms of office location.
