We are seeking a systems leader with experience of working at a senior level within adult social care who can reshape public service delivery whilst continuing to ensure we provide high quality services across adult social care, housing and community development. We are on a journey to reimagine health and social care integration and this person will play a vital role in leading change across a large system.

Thurrock Council has a vision to deliver high quality, person centred, coordinated care. We have built co-production as a core part of our strategy and we have worked hard to develop a strengths-based approach to care for our residents. Our relationships with health are growing stronger and this person will join a service that is performing well, regarded highly by peers but has a large role to play in leading transformation across the health system and housing.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an ambitious, inspirational leader who is excited by the opportunity that exists within Thurrock and South Essex. You will be motivated by delivering excellent services for our residents whilst also being passionate about transformation and system redesign.

You will have managed large operational services previously, preferably within social care and across a complex health setting. You will bring energy and a commitment to excellence across social care, housing and community development and, importantly, you will be a corporate player who wants to be part of Team Thurrock.

You will be a systems thinker with exceptional stakeholder management skills and ideally you will be able to demonstrate recent experience working with colleagues in health to drive integration and transformation within health and social care. You will be excited by the opportunity that integration and LGR presents and be ambitious for yourself and Thurrock.
