As the largest local authority in the UK with the biggest property portfolio, Birmingham City Council's Property Strategy defines how the Council's land and property assets will be used to stimulate economic activity, attract investment, and create income to support service delivery and provide frontline services to the citizens of Birmingham.

Working within the Investment Property Management team, the Property Development Manager will be required to manage a team of development surveyors to deliver a varied programme of projects which contribute to an ambitious capital receipts programme and bring forward the Council's land and property holdings to support development, regeneration and the creation of new jobs.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the delivery of key development projects and experience in the successful management of staff and financial resources to deliver work programmes.

Birmingham City Council's Property Strategy and Property Investment Strategy provide the framework for a fundamental review of the Council's approach to holding land and property assets, and a transformational programme for releasing assets from the existing commercial portfolio.

We are looking for experienced and self-motivated applicants with a proven track record who are keen to join an experienced team and deliver an ambitious and transformational agenda.
