Solution Designer (4 Posts) – Internal Secondment or Fixed Term Contract – 18-24 months

The Council is currently in the process of embarking on a major two stage programme to upgrade and replace the Case Management system used across both Adults and Children’s Social Care. The system is vital in supporting residents who receive care by ensuring that a variety of professionals have access to accurate and effective records for that individual. It also allows us to analyse data about the levels and types of need across the borough.

Over the coming months as the programme develops we will be recruiting to a number of exciting opportunities across a wide variety of areas within the programme including:

We are currently recruiting for 4 x Solution Designers

These roles will work with key stakeholder and subject matter experts to design an end to end customer journey and business processes (both “As Is” and “To Be”) across either Adults Social Care and/or Children’s Social care and Adults/Children Social Care Finance.

The post holder will document current customer journeys and business processes, identifying areas of improvements, working in collaboration with business leads and representatives to negotiate and agree “To Be” process to design a future proof target operating models as well as detailed business process to support it.

The post holder will work in a hybrid project arrangement where overall delivery plan will be based on waterfall (Prince2/PMP/APM) whereas day to day work allocation and delivery of key milestones will be managed using Agile (mainly Scrum).

The role will involve a wide range of skills, and knowledge and the ideal candidate will have good understanding of social care legislative and statutory requirements along with best practices (where applicable) as well as how to capture “current/As Is processes” ability to translate these into future proof target operating models and business processes as well as data sets within system constraints to help build a future proof solution for social care.

Suitable applicants will ideally have a relevant professional qualification.

For RBG employee applicants, this will be a Secondment.  If you are not an RBG employee, this will be a fixed term contract.
