Disability & Home Improvement Team

Building Surveyor – PO4

1 x 1 Year fixed-term contract & 2 x 2 Year fixed-term contract to be filled.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Housing Inclusion & Support Service is on a mission to become one of the top service providers in adaptations, housing occupational therapy and home improvements. As part of this continuous improvement journey, we want to ensure that the customer experience, in addition to the access and delivery of advice,

information and assessments are exemplary.

We are seeking motivated people, who like a challenge, have a commitment to housing and want to help us deliver excellent services.

An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate with building surveying skills to join the Royal Greenwich Disability & Home Improvement Team. The team specialises in supporting older and vulnerable borough residents to live independently in their own homes by adapting or improving their environment.

This rewarding job will suit applicants who have a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable people and an understanding of housing problems faced by older people and those with disabilities.

We are looking for someone who is conscientious, adaptable and keen to join an innovative team to make a positive difference and drive the service forward whilst also making a difference in the lives of those vulnerable residents who need help, support and assistance.

We would expect that you will be able to achieve the standards as set out within our staff values.

The successful candidate will ideally be MRICS, MCIOB, RIBA or CABE qualified with surveying experience, particularly relating to the adaptation and refurbishment of domestic dwellings. The postholder will also be expected to manage major work programs and building projects.
