We are looking for aspirational leaders of change, who are committed to leading a positive culture, who bring innovation, and are not afraid of continued growth and challenge. Senior leaders who deliver excellence whilst working collaboratively, to build a world class organisation.

Following the creation of 12 Associate Director posts eight of which have been filled internally we are now looking externally for four Associate Directors; the remit of each will be to work right across the Council as part of a brand-new Leadership team whilst calling upon their own specific areas of specialism with which to build, develop and facilitate their own portfolios:

·     Strategy & Improvement

·     Adult Social Care Operations

·     Finance & Commercial, and

·     Community

As our Associate Director – Strategy & Improvement reporting directly in to the Chief Executive and responsible for up to 30 employees you will lead on high level transformation across our Business Insight, Communications, Project Management Office and Innovation & Strategy teams. A significantly data driven role you will review and support the building of a new strategy across key elements such as improved cohesive working, accelerated learning and Citizen engagement whilst scrutinising the most appropriate paths of travel for the Council from which to achieve our aspirations and goals.

We are open to any specific public sector background you may come from (an understanding of political environments being somewhat integral) what is more important to us is that you are a sharp, rigorous and strategic thinker able to shape and influence change Council-wide. You do need to have experience of leading and delivering on organisationally wide innovation, improvement and transformation.

Integral to the success of our significant change and improvement programme you will be a future-focussed visionary able to handle a challenging ever-changing environment whilst inspiring others to join you on our journey.
