An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Data & GIS Team at Chelmsford City Council.
Chelmsford City Council are looking for an Address Management Officer to maintain the Council’s Corporate Property/Street Gazetteer systems. The role will involve being responsible for the Council’s Custodian of the Street Naming and Numbering function, as well as supporting the Corporate Address Custodian.
Working alongside the Data Team, the successful candidate will be required to help the Council maintain the highest national standard (Gold) for addressing and will be responsible for the creation of new properties and streets, and the linking of new properties/streets to the GIS Layers.
The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate between developers, residents, householders, councillors and staff to ensure that the Street Name and Numbering process is carried out in accordance with the policy.
