Come and join St Helens “A Place of countless opportunities”

In St Helens we’re proud; linking both industry and innovation to a strong local heritage sitting in an area of rolling countryside and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Our new leadership team are busy recasting the way we deliver our public services as we continue to transform how we deliver our community and stakeholder promises. There is no better time to join us and become part of our improvement journey and help build our legacy. We are rekindling our passion and commitment to continue to drive through our growth and improvement and creating a sustainable Council with a strong infrastructure and economy to offer the best quality of life to our thriving communities. Now more than ever, we need to drive innovative change across our services, enabling the Council to take the next step in delivering its ambitious agenda and adapting collectively to a changing world. We are ideally placed to play a big part in our regional debate too at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse with easy access to Liverpool, Merseyside, Lancashire and Greater Manchester and excellent Motorway and transport links.

This role is an opportunity for talented, corporate thinking and grounded leaders to grow personally and professionally in a values led culture, delivering excellence across a range of key corporate services.

Our communities are at the heart of what we do. We already have strong stakeholder relationships so you will be able to demonstrate experience of leading, improving and developing first class housing and community led services in a multi-agency partnership setting.

This role, along with the other two place roles currently being advertised, sit front and centre of our progressive improvement plans so you’ll bring a grounded blend of corporate leadership and evidence of successful delivery to support our success.
