You will join us at an exciting time as the Royal Borough continues with its ambitious regeneration and housing delivery programme.

We are looking to recruit an experienced, skilled and dynamic Senior Planning and Highways Lawyer with a ‘can do’ enabling approach who will join our Planning & Procurement Team and play a vital role in the next stage of our continuous improvement journey.

Utilising skills and experience gained within a similar position, you will report to the Assistant Head of Legal Services (Planning & Procurement) and will have your own complex and varied caseload on matters including planning and highways agreements, advising on CIL, assets of community value, conservation issues planning enforcement, and advising at planning committee.  

The role will involve supervising and managing junior staff and providing legal advice and support to committees, members and senior officers, and taking any appropriate measures to ensure continued legal service delivery.

You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister holding a current practising certificate, or Legal Executive.
