Job Details

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone.  We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will work with senior leaders and heads of service to develop and deliver innovative health and safety solutions within a large and complex organisation.

You will predominately provide advice to schools within Camden as part of a traded service as well as to our wider Supporting People directorate. The working environment will be a combination of home and office based working along with site visits as required.

The post offers a suitably qualified and experienced health and safety professional the opportunity to develop their skills by providing a variety of work, such as being involved in audits, inspections, formulating policies, investigating accidents, advising staff and leading operational and specialist activities.

You will be qualified in NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. You will also be a Chartered Member of IOSH or will be working towards this. You will be experienced in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures across a large and complicated organisation and be able to lead both specialist and operational safety activities. Experience of working within a local authority would be advantageous, especially a school environment.

We’re ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit. Help us redefine our corporate services, and we’ll redefine what a career can be. If that sounds good to you, we’d love to talk.
