THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE

Oxfordshire is undoubtedly one of the best places to live and work in the UK. It boasts world class businesses, a universally renowned university, with towns and countryside that is the envy of many – it is also only an hour from the capital. This role across Oxfordshire County Council and Cherwell District Council underlines just why the county is such a great place.

You will take lead accountability for the delivery of a major capital and infrastructure programme, play a key role in shaping and delivering the Oxfordshire Growth Deal, engaging regionally with matters relating to growth and the Ox-Cam arc, developing an effective waste strategy, managing the transport and highways functions, and leading the planning services for both Oxfordshire County and Cherwell District Councils.

Inside the organisations, you will work closely with the Chief Executive and fellow corporate directors, leading your team of directors and heads of service whilst ensuring informative relationships are built with your portfolio holders. You will also be required to have and build a wide network of contacts and the ability to build and maintain strong and professional relationships across the public and private sectors at national and local level.

This is an outstanding, high-profile opportunity where you can enjoy the unique challenges of working in an area of such high ambition.

If you are ready to create an even better environment you can speak to our recruitment partners at Penna confidentially, by contacting Rob Naylor on 07922 417550 or David Slatter on 07500 828610.
