Our support services help the whole council work to the best of their ability. They include the Council's Customer Access department, Human Resources, IT, Financial Management, Corporate Property, Audit, Fraud, Risk and Insurance.

The Role:

You will be joining us at a time of change to deliver our new resourcing strategy which aims to:

About the role:

You will proactively work with key stakeholders to ensure that our resourcing needs are identified and resourced professionally. 

You will be the key contact for our hiring managers, internal and external recruitment partners to ensure we effectively fill our permanent and fixed-term vacancies actively avoiding expensive agency use.

You will engage with our hiring managers to design, drive and deliver recruitment campaigns by providing specialist resourcing advice to attract candidates who share our values and behaviours

You will engage with hiring managers and wider colleagues to remove any perceived barriers in the recruitment and selection process to achieve improved ED&I and social mobility outcomes.

About You:

  • You will have a proven record of success in delivering recruitment outcomes in-house.
  • You will have proven experience in using HRIS and ATS systems to build and monitor recruitment campaigns and onboarding stages.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal credibly with our customers, whilst being challenging, professional, and commercially focused.

We work in partnership with Hampshire County Council (HCC) who deliver many transactional services on our behalf. Although most communications will be from HCC, all selection and appointment decisions will be made by RBKC. Certain services are shared across more than one Council area to nearby neighbouring Authorities. This enhances delivery and reduces costs. Your recruitment information will advise if your remit extends beyond RBKC.
