Job Details

Camden is listening to everyone, including you.

We’re giving a platform to people inside and outside our community. Because, we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As a Social Worker with the Children and Young People Disability Service, you’ll help create a better future for our borough’s children, young people and young adults and their families by putting them at the heart of everything we do.

The role

We’re currently seeking a talented, highly motivated experienced Social Worker to join our diverse and highly skilled service. We are looking for a Social Worker who’s keen to progress and share our values of working as one team and finding better and more innovative ways of doing things within CYPDS.

You will use your experience to work across a varied and complex caseload of children and young people with severe to profound disabilities. The role requires a confident approach to working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies and an ability to identify and apply complex systems and frameworks whilst remaining person centred.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

A key requirement for this role is being a fully qualified, accredited social work professional and hold a current Social Work England (previously HCPC) registration.

You will be a pro-active analytical thinker with a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Be a strong and reliable team worker, who brings ideas for service delivery and in partnership with parents and young people.

You will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, ensuring professional social work standards are maintained at all times. And, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal with conflict, hostility and vulnerability.

We’re ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit. Help us redefine how we assist children and young people with severe to profound disabilities, and we’ll redefine what a career can be. If that sounds good to you, we’d love to talk.
