What you need to know about the role

We have had a challenging time in North East Lincolnshire following our last Ofsted focused visit in October 2019. But with a lot of investment and hard work from all involved we are in a much stronger place and looking to retain our GOOD rating.

The transformation journey for Children’s Services is ambitious, but already starting to show positive results, and will need to be driven to enable continued improvement to ensure that outcomes for our children, young people, and families continue to improve.

How can you make a difference?

You will be an experienced senior leader and social work professional, with a track record of improving outcomes for children, young people, and families as a compelling strategic lead with a strong grip on operational services.

You will have the vision, drive and resilience to pick up the mantle of the transformation journey and build on the successes of the last few months, engaging with our partners to improve the outcomes for children, young people, and families within North East Lincolnshire.

You will be flexible and adaptable to changing situations and keen to work in an ambitious and forward-thinking culture.

What we offer

A strong culture of support from Elected Members and Senior Leadership Team. We offer an open and engaging working environment, salaries subject to national negotiation, a career average pension scheme, flexible working, car scheme and the opportunity to buy additional holidays to name a few.

Still believe you can make a difference.

We would encourage you to review our dedicated website to Children’s social care https://childrensservicesnel.co.uk/. Where you will find the role profile and person spec.

All applicants are advised to carefully read the information provided in the Role Profile and Employee Specification and provide clear evidence to support their application. A CV and a supporting statement should be sent to peopleandculture-general@nelincs.gov.uk by Monday 30th November 2020, subject DCS Application.

Interviews will be held over 2 days on the 15th & 16th December 2020.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Joanne Hewson on telephone 01472 325141 or email Joanne.Hewson@nelincs.gov.uk
