Schools ICT are looking for a remarkable Schools MIS specialists to join our Team.

As:  MIS Support Officer

You will be part of a team that works hard to deliver MIS solutions and support to Schools.

This post is based within the Schools ICT Traded Service under the Technology and Change service working closely under North Yorkshire Education Services as part of NYCC’s commercial services.  Schools ICT have been a traded service to Schools for 26 years, and delivers services and solutions in ICT to help our 500 plus customers deliver their outcomes.  54 people in the team work with Schools and commercial organisation every day. 

The Technology & Change Service provides ICT, digital, change management and customer services which enable the organisation and its partners to achieve their outcomes and continually improve the services we deliver to the people of North Yorkshire and beyond.

This role is paramount to delivering Management Information System (MIS) support and training to Schools for the market leading MIS providers, plus cashless software.  The MIS team has four members of staff and they work alongside our ICT sales, helpdesk and web development teams.

We need you to use your exceptional Schools MIS knowledge to:                                                                                                

  • Deliver maintenance, support and training in all aspects of Schools Administration Systems – MIS and Cashless Software at Secondary and Primary levels.  A knowledge of Secondary School MIS would be an advantage.

  • Exceptional levels of communication skills are required, and you will be working with customers on a day to basis to enable the service to be delivered, either on-site, over the telephone or remotely.

  • A high level of problem solving skills are required to diagnose and repair faults and give advice and guidance.  Alongside being able to work with colleagues to fix ICT problems that interlink with the administration systems.

  • Work with our 3rd party contractors and suppliers, again ensuring a high level of communication and customer satisfaction.

  • Build strong relationships, with colleagues, customers and suppliers

  • Keep up to date with MIS, Administration software in Schools and ICT trends

  • Ensure any marketing opportunities to our customers are realised, working with our marketing team.

  • Be a prominent part of the team that help develops our services.
