The Post

If you are ready to be part of a dynamic and growing Infrastructure Planning team in a borough that has an ambitious programme to deliver real community benefits for its residents then this could be the role for you.

Through the application of high level infrastructure planning and leadership skills, you will make a significant contribution to the regeneration of the borough through the planning for and provision of infrastructure by the imposition and delivery of planning contributions including S106 planning obligations and CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) to ensure that growth and regeneration is delivered in line with corporate priorities, the Brent Local Plan and associated documents.

You will also support the Team Leader in the governance processes for spending Strategic CIL and lead on the implementation of a new CIL Administrator Product – EXACOM.

This is an exciting chance to work within a highly performing team with significant CIL receipts to spend on an ambitious programme of delivering infrastructure.

This permanent post with flexible working arrangements is based at Brent Council’s award winning offices which are within walking distance of Wembley Park station.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong S106 & CIL collection experience, be able to harness good team working within Spatial Planning & Transport and wider Planning & Development Services and have the ability to think creatively. You will also have extensive knowledge of current issues affecting local government.

This role presents a unique opportunity for a well-organised, highly motivated S106 and CIL officer who is passionate about delivering high quality outcomes and projects. With a positive can do attitude, you will be able to take the initiative and be creative in problem solving and S106 and CIL collection.
