This is an exciting opportunity to support the Executive Director of Children’s Services in leading a systems-wide Joint Children and Young People’s Strategic Commissioning Partnership, and to provide oversight of the commissioning and contract management for the council’s children’s services programme.

Have you got experience of creating and developing successful partnerships and enabling busy professionals to engage constructively and productively to make the partnerships work?

Can you create coherent, outcome-focused strategic plans which use language that is accessible to and understood by all that read them?

Do you understand the commissioning cycle and the importance of getting it right?

And most importantly, do you really care about the lives of children, young people and their families and do you understand how a systems-wide Commissioning Partnership can support the improvement of their outcomes?
