About Us:

Celebrating and preserving the unique cultural and environmental character of the borough is a major focus of this department, which includes Planning and Borough Development, Transport and Highways, Libraries, Environmental Health, Community Safety and Cleaner, Greener and Cultural Services.

Kensington and Chelsea is one of London’s most vibrant and densely populated boroughs, with a multitude of beautiful buildings, museums and parks.  The planning team ensure any new building projects are undertaken with consideration to our residents, as well as our skyline.
If you are passionate about the environment, and the support services required to keep it safe, clean and green, take a look at our vacancies and join our dedicated team.

The Role:

Our BiBorough Libraries and Archives Service has an ambitious vision to drive equality across our communities as the most inclusive library service in the UK. The service advances this vision through our purpose to help people to Read, Learn and Connect, providing services that drive equality by supporting people to develop their love of reading and learning, improve literacy, gain skills and knowledge, improve their health and wellbeing and to connect with each other. In an increasingly challenging financial context, we need to increase and diversify our funding sources in order to continue to make a difference to our communities.

The Funding and Supporter Development Manager exists to support the service to become more financially resilient and enable us to continue to provide value added services beyond the core offer sustainably through fundraising and funding bids. A key part of the role will be to build on existing customer loyalty amongst residents by creating active advocates, including high profile supporters of libraries such as authors.
